The Leading Business Ventures (“LBV”) Privacy Statement describes how LB Ventures and its subsidiaries treat personal information when you use LB Ventures services, including information provided when you use LB Ventures. Our corporate website was designed to allow users to browse and learn about our company and products in a worry free manner. When you become a registered user (”Member”) of the Website, you voluntarily provide personal information to LB Ventures. Members voluntarily provide information such as their name, specialty, institution, mailing address, zip code, and email address. We require Members to submit a valid email address so that we may contact them about changes to this Privacy Policy and other important matters.

A Member must create and use a username and password to verify the users identity when logging into the Website. Members may modify their password and other personal information at anytime by logging into the Website with their unique username and password and selecting “My Account”.

Information Collection and Use

LB Ventures does not collect personal information unless it is voluntarily submitted. We employ website activity analysis tools that gather usage metrics, but do not capture any individually identifiable information.

All individually identifiable information submitted voluntarily to LB Ventures is managed with the utmost confidentiality. LB Ventures will not disclose, sell, rent, license, exchange, or release any of your individually identifiable information without your explicit consent. LB Ventures may do internal research using the information provided to us by Members when registering, our system activity files or any other information that our Members voluntarily provide to LB Ventures. LB Ventures will analyze only information about users that is stripped of any personally identifying information (such as name, email address, or postal address) and then summarized so that our employees do not access users’ personally identifying information. LB Ventures may share some of this summarized information, containing no personally identifying information, with business partners. If a Member has agreed to allow LB Ventures to communicate with them, LB Ventures may use the Members information to communicate with them as a user of our services. Members may choose to remove themselves from future mailings at any time (please see the opt-out section below).

At registration, LB Ventures provides Members the opportunity to opt out of receiving any communication from us. We also give all of our Members the option to remove any and all of their information from our databases and to not receive future communications by sending an email to privacyoptout@lbventures.us

Our site is protected with a variety of security measures such as passwords and physical access controls. We have firewalls to protect the corporate website and network. We also employ a variety of other mechanisms to ensure that data you submit are not lost, misused, or altered inappropriately. LB Ventures utilizes methodologies to monitor and identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, deny service, cause damage, or access non-public information within the www.lbventures.us domain. Unauthorized attempts to damage or change information are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986. If you are a Member of this Website, it is solely your responsibility to control any and all access to your username and password, to log out when you leave the Website, and to immediately inform LB Ventures of any reason to disable your username and/or password.

Public Forums

LB Ventures provides Members of the Website with message boards and other public forums. Please remember that any information disclosed on these public forums becomes public information and Members should exercise caution when deciding to disclose any personal information. In addition, Members should exercise caution and be aware of professional ethical guidelines and laws that restrict the disclosure of certain personal and health information about patients. Any information (including personal and medical information) that Members reveal in the Website’s public forums is not subject to this privacy statement and will be seen by third parties not related to LB Ventures. Chat Rooms, Journals and WebLogs, Message Boards, Classifieds and Public Forums Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily post public information to Journals, WebLogs, Message Boards, Classifieds or any other Public Forums that that information can be accessed by the public and can in turn be used by those people to send you unsolicited communications. Invitations and Other Communications to Non-members LB Ventures members can invite friends to join the service by sending invitation emails via our automated invitation system. LB Ventures stores the email addresses that members provide so that the respondents may be added to the friend’s list of the member sending the invitations, and also to send reminders of the invitations LB Ventures does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations, invitation reminders (up to three (3) per email address). Recipients of invitations from LB Ventures may contact LB Ventures to request the removal of their information from our database. LB Ventures members may also store email addresses of people they know in their internal LB Ventures address book and may also choose to send invitations and other communications to those addresses. You may prevent MySpace.com email invitations and other messages from being sent to any email address you control by sending a single email with the subject “BLOCK” to privacy@lbventures.us Please note that the email must come from the account you wish to block.

Our Use of IP Addresses

LB Ventures collects and stores Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. We collect IP addresses to maintain and analyze our system. An IP address is a number automatically assigned to your computer whenever you access the Internet. All computers are identified on the Internet using IP addresses. IP addresses allow computers and servers to recognize and communicate with each other. LB Ventures’s use and analysis of IP addresses does not personally identify Website Members. However, LB Ventures may attempt to use IP addresses to help locate users who refuse to follow this Website’s Terms of Use and to identify users who threaten our service, site, customers, or others.

We may also collect information about Members and their use of the Website through the use of “Cookies”. Revisions to Privacy Policy

If a Member has supplied LB Ventures with a valid email address, LB Ventures will send notification to the email address supplied by the Member if there is a significant change in this Privacy Policy. We will also post a changed Privacy Policy on our Website thirty days prior to using a new Privacy Policy. For any Member who chooses not to agree to this or any new Privacy Policy, please refer to our opt-out policy above.
